What is the process involved in applying for a road closure and what sort of information do you need to provide and to whom? What is the process known as?

Temporary Traffic Regulation Order. Apply to local area co-ordinator and local authority, provide diversion route, give length of time, start date, finish date etc. Notify emergency services.

 

Did you specify the diversion route? What criteria should you consider when choosing a diversion?

Length, other works, same classification of road, tracking depending on vehicles used

Design processes

How is design change managed in your office? For example, scope creep from the client. What is your responsibility if the client approaches you directly with a change that requires additional work?

Reporting to manager immediately if candidate was approached, suggest client speaks to manager, do not start the additional work until you have approval.

 

What is the importance of as-builts and what is your responsibility?

 

What is the value of BIM? Relating to both buildings and infrastructure. Describe some documents
