3D photorealistic rendering was used to visualise the bright, airy living area and master bedroom of this new home, still only on plan. The house is long and narrow but has a monopitch roof that allows for high windows along the back to capture as much light as possible in all rooms. The model was in created in Sketchup from the construction drawings and rendered in V-Ray using materials suggested by the designer. Click on each of the images below to learn more. The emphasis was on light and bright for the kitchen area. The copper pendant lights offer additional light to the island while the rest of the living area has ceiling spotlights. High windows to the rear and full height sliding glass doors to the front admit light at all times of day.

The open plan kitchen-dining-living area is the focus and centre of this house.
